Love Is the Ultimate Outcome
When I first started meditating, I was intrigued by the opportunity to stabilize the mind and gain insights and clarity. When meditation teachers would talk of “love”, and cite love as the main benefit of a sustained practice, I squirmed a bit. I didn’t see the connection.
Nearly twenty years later, the connection is clear to me: love is the ultimate outcome of a sustained meditation practice. Love for my perfectly imperfect self, love for fellow humans (even if I don’t love their actions), and love for the present moment as it has unfolded (even if it’s uncomfortable and not how I planned it). Love lets me know that I am bigger than my thoughts or my emotions or my physical challenges; that I am connected to a vast network of living beings and the planet, that I am resourced and resilient and that I have incredible agency.
We hope you can join us at any, many or all of our sessions this week, all of which are free and open to the public. We look forward to sitting together, supporting each other, unlocking the love that lives in each of us.
May all beings rest in love, and may love let peace blossom across the world.
With love,
