Mindful Listening + Speaking Workshop with the Darien Library

Community Mindfulness Project's

Mindful Listening + Speaking Workshop

AKA: "How to learn to talk with your woke college niece and/or your cranky Uncle Frank at the holidays!"

Tuesday, October 29th - 6:30PM - 8:30PM

We're all a lot more similar than we are different. Society has never been more isolated and culture so polarized. But, when we can be mindful of how we listen to and speak with each other, our differences can be seen as one of the core strengths of our society.

In this workshop led by Community Mindfulness Project, we'll explore and question our assumptions about the biggest challenges in dialogue and effective communication. You’ll gain practical solutions to help you engage with our community more effectively. By the end of this interactive session, you’ll have valuable information, tips, and strategies for communicating mindfully, whether you're discussing everyday topics or navigating more contentious issues with differing opinions.

We offered this powerful workshop at Darien Library before the 2020 election and earlier in September 2024 to rave reviews, and we’re back by popular demand!
