Burnout Prevention, Mindfulness Training for Nonprofits
Community Mindfulness Project partners with nonprofits and frontline workers bringing mindfulness programs to Fairfield County—supporting the people and organizations who are the backbone and heart of our community.
One breath at a time, shoulder to shoulder, we’re developing strong, balanced, and compassionate communities.
We work with local nonprofits, educators, agencies, and those working in the recovery and re-entry spaces, sharing mindfulness tools and training for stress management, emotional regulation, and community connection.
Through deep listening and collaboration, we bring accessible mindfulness and meditation circles to these select populations predominantly in Bridgeport, Norwalk, and Stamford for a healthier Fairfield County.
With Nonprofit Leaders & Frontline Workers
Nonprofit leaders and staff are facing unprecedented levels of burnout, empathy fatigue, vicarious trauma and unhealthy stress.
Our programs cultivate present-moment awareness, empowering balance, regulation, and connection through shared practices that restore choice, presence, and inner strength.
With Program Clients
We deliver programs that are relevant, meaningful, and centered on the unique needs of our clients.
Our programs are trauma-sensitive, use plain language, and foster spaces of trust, connection, and dignity for all participants.
Clients of our nonprofit partners report immediate physical, mental, and emotional effects from our first session and develop long-term proficiency in using mindfulness and meditation for mental-emotional wellbeing through our 3-to-8 week long term program offerings.
You’re in good company
Empowering frontline workers.
Meet Chrissy, LCSW
“As a social worker, my career began with clinical work supporting people who had experienced trauma and quickly found myself specializing in trauma and addiction. While the work showed me the power of the human spirit on a daily basis, over the years, I experienced significant vicarious trauma.
Fast forward over 15 years, I am passionate about CMP’s mission as it lives at the intersection of my professional background as a social worker and personal experience with the transformational impact of meditation practices. It is a beautiful opportunity to help folks on the frontline (school personnel, social workers, case managers etc.) to put their oxygen mask on first before helping other AND bring this practices to under-resourced communities so that these tools are equitably accessible.”
