Session 3: Breathing
When we connect with the present moment, we let the nervous system breathe a big sigh of relief. Paying attention to the sensations caused by breathing can be a great anchor in the present moment. The region of the brain that allows us to feel connected to the present moment is also a region that helps us feel integrated with our environment, less self-focused I/me/my, less ruminating or prone to looping thought.
This is also a great practice for letting go of our tendency to control things that we don’t need to control.
This video includes a short guided meditation and tips for incorporating present-moment awareness into our engaged life.
